This is a time-lapse video of what was originally about 2 hours. Though this video doesn't teach anything specifically, it's strangely calming to watch.
Found via directedbysun on YouTube.com.
We'll be implementing guest web development screencasts beginning today. If you've created a wonderful video tutorial, or know of a great one, please email me at nettutsblog@gmail.com with a link! I'll definitely review it.

I’ve always liked time-lapse videos, they’re just so cool and calming!
I know it’s not web-related but this has to be one of the best time-lapse videos I’ve ever seen: http://www.vimeo.com/1831024 (They’re not models, that’s real footage!!!)
Thanks for the post Jeffrey, can’t wait for more guest screencasts!

My life everyday - thank god not at that speed though.
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I’ll use it to show clients next time they ask me for a “quick site redesign - you know, in 2 minutes - real cheap, real quick”…
If they only knew what it takes to do real Web Design… Now they can have glimpse. “In 2 minutes”…
Gesahn November 15th
Great video.
Alan November 15th
Interesting…
How do you speed up an ordinary video? I’ve always wanted to do a time-lapse on my video camera.

I love to see ‘real’ coding at work. I do all mine in dreamweaver. I feel like Im cheating sometimes.
Neil November 15th
woa…how is that cool? I just wasted 2 minutes of my life,!
Swami Atma November 15th
I think the calming part comes from the music, not the video itself.

Sometimes i can find really nice stuff on nettuts.com, but things like this are just crap, srry. Who cares about a bad quality screencast which doesnt teach ANYTHING. Beside this, the design doesnt look good.
Eray Alakese November 16th
Thank you
are there slow version of this?

@James - that video was fantastic - I may have had a few glasses of wine, but I really enjoyed that.

@Jeffrey - my wife watched the video earlier, and she asked why I can’t work at that speed

I’ve got a problem with the word “Design” in this post.
I have no idea what that site was about and I should know by looking at the design.
You should have called this post “Build a generic web template in 2 minutes”
Cool time-lapse video though.
insic November 16th
i thought the title of this post is for real.

Ackam November 17th
Yeah I love it’s cool, more grease to your elbow

I watched the video twice just to hear the song. It’s from the Amelie soundtrack, right? Yeah… It wasn’t the greatest movie but the cinematography and soundtrack are worth watching it. I have to agree with some of the above comments. The site was pretty bland. You can’t please everybody.
Thanks for the screencast. Now how about Nettuts starts creating some rather than picking them off youtube!!! Jus’ my two cents.

@Christian - We create screencasts every week. This is simply an extra posting on top of our regular tutorials.

Hey guys. Just to clarify - this isn’t my work. As I wrote above, this video was taken from YouTube. I love timelapse videos and wanted to share it.
So, I’m not using Dreamweaver….”directedbysun” is using it.
Personally, I use Visual Studio 08, and phpDesigner 08 - as you can see in my screencasts.

i love these types of screencasts, they always seem to help me when I am first starting a new project when I suffer from that WHITE SCREEN syndrome. Well done.
Paul December 10th
Hi Jeffery,
Where can I get the original video of this? I am trying to learn web design and your blog is very helpful. Though I’m a IT professional with 5+ years of experience working as an IT Expert and IT Officer, I really suck when it comes to web design. I just don’t know how & where to start.
Dan January 6th
Great tutorials!
Q: can the links from this site/pages be made to open in a separate page? Kinda annoying when you try to check a recommended link and lose the original site.
